What are Marine Pollutant Markings?
As of January 1, 1993, most non-bulk packages of a listed marine pollutant shipped via vessels must be identified with the "Marine Pollutant Mark" (see below).
Unless the proper shipping name for the marine pollutant identifies the name of the component clearly as the source for the pollutant classification, the pollutant's name must be included in the markings.
